Gregory J. Conte

DMD, MS ’94
Dr. Greg Conte is a faculty member in the postgraduate periodontics department at UCSF and maintains a private practice limited to periodontics and implant dentistry in San Francisco and San Ramon, Calif. Previously, he spent several years as an assistant clinical professor in the Division of Periodontology at the University of Pittsburgh and at Loma Linda University.
Dr. Conte is a past recipient of the oral biology award from the California Society of Periodontists for his research in periodontal regeneration. He is a fellow of the International Team for Implantology and the American College of Dentists and has authored several articles and textbook chapters related to clinical implant dentistry and alveolar hard- and soft-tissue augmentation. He also is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the California Society of Periodontists, the Western Society of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the California Dental Association, the San Francisco Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Conte earned his dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh and completed his residency at the Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital in Pittsburgh in 1991. He earned his certificate in periodontics and master's degree in oral biology from UCSF.
