Jennifer Frazier

PhD ’99
Dr. Frazier is a cell biologist who has always been driven to share her science with the broader public by using public spaces to encourage people to think like scientists. Early in her career, she gained story discovery and writing skills by working at Boston public TV station WGBH’s groundbreaking science series “NOVA” and Wired magazine, and supporting the opening of the Marian Koshland Science Museum in Washington, DC. Dr. Frazier currently is a senior scientist at the Exploratorium in San Francisco, where she focuses on finding new ways to help guests explore worlds they normally can’t see. This includes looking at live stem cells and fish embryos at the Microscope Imaging Station and co-curating the new Living Systems Gallery during the Exploratorium’s move to its new location in 2013. Dr. Frazier also is the principal investigator of the National Science Foundation Living Liquid and Ocean Observatory.
