As we are mindful about the changing nature of the COVID-19 outbreak and how it is impacting public health, travel, and large gatherings, we are pleased to announce that "UCSF Alumni Weekend 2020" has been reimagined into UCSF Alumni Week: A Virtual Event from June 8-12, 2020!
1)Will there be virtual content for Alumni Week? We will host a series of special–and free–online events just for you as "UCSF Alumni Weekend 2020" has been reimagined into UCSF Alumni Week: A Virtual Event from June 8-12, 2020! The sessions will include our best content, expert presentations, and new ways for the alumni community to connect and celebrate. Click here to register today! 2) How will this virtual event work? To participate in any of the virtual events during Alumni Week, you will need a computer, tablet, phone, or any device with a screen connected to a stable internet connection. For the best viewing experience, we recommend a computer or another device with a large screen. Please also note that due to the limitations of our video player, we will not have live closed captions during the presentations; however, transcripts and/or captions will be available 72 hours after the live event. A recording of each session (except the Scientific Sessions) will be available for viewing 24 hours after the program concludes. Additional instructions and details – such as how to pose a question to the speaker - are disclosed in the registration confirmation via email. All virtual events will be broadcasted at Pacific Time (PT). 3)Will my registration fees for Alumni Weekend 2020 be refunded? You will receive a full refund to your credit card for any registration fees you’ve already paid. Registration refunds will be processed by mid-April. 4)How do I cancel my hotel room reservation for Alumni Weekend 2020? You can cancel your room reservation online or by calling the Hyatt Regency San Francisco at (800) 223-1234.
5)2020 is my reunion year. How do we celebrate now? Alumni Week organizers are looking forward to working with each reunion class individually to determine the best way to help you celebrate your milestone. Please watch for more communications in the coming weeks.
6)Will my Scientific Session course registration fees for Alumni Weekend 2020 be refunded? You will receive a full refund to your credit card for any registration fees you’ve already paid. Registration refunds will be processed by mid-April.
7)I signed up for the kayaking excursion on Sunday during Alumni Weekend 2020. Will I receive a refund? You will receive a full refund for to your credit card for any registration fees you’ve already paid. Registration refunds will be processed by mid-April.
